2021 Czech Republic Entrance Exams: Hong Kong

Despite the Covid-19 pandemic a record number of students registered and sat the 2020 Hong Kong entrance examinations for the Czech medical and dental programmes. The team were planning on being in Hong Kong for these exams but instead all students were given the opportunity to sit these online. For 2021 we have planned to move back to in-person exams should the situation allow.

As in 2018 and 2019 we are planning on hosting these exam at King George V School.  They are scheduled after the conclusion of the IB exams. These dates also fit around the HKDSE exams and the delay to UK A-levels means more students will have the opportunity to sit the five exams over a six-day block. This gives students from Hong Kong, and across the world, the chance to sit the exams without travelling to Europe on multiple occasions.

Five Czech Republic Medical Schools

The exams are open to all, with students in previous years coming from the Asian-Pacific region, North America, South Asia and Australasia.

We will be welcoming three faculties of Charles University. Charles University First Faculty of Medicine is one of the oldest medical faculties in the world and is located in the centre of Prague. The Charles University Second Faculty of Medicine is based at one of the country’s largest hospitals. Away from Prague, Charles University Faculty of Medicine in Hradec Kralove is one of the largest medical schools in the region.

Masaryk University benefits from one of the most modern faculties in all of Europe. A large clinical simulation centre is under construction which will be the envy of many medical schools. The university also has an impressive graduate employment record with direct links to hospitals in the UK.

Palacky University offers a prestigious faculty in one of the most beautiful locations in Central Europe. World renowned surgeon Dr Bohdan Pomahac graduated from this faculty before becoming one of the USA’s most famous surgeons.
