Final Charles University First Faculty of Medicine Examination of 2019

Following a successful year, Medical Doorway conducted the final Charles University First Faculty of Medicine examination of 2019 on Sunday 30th June in London. The First Faculty of Medicine is central Europe’s most popular university with ten applications per place. The First Faculty of Medicine is a founding faculty of Charles University and world’s eleventh oldest medical school.

Forty-five students registered to sit the exam with applicants traveling from Germany, Portugal, Ireland, Nigeria and from across the United Kingdom. More applicants than ever before are passing through the Medical Doorway and this was the third First Faculty exam we held this year. We kicked off the selection on 4th May 2019 with our first London exam. Our Asian exam was the held in Hong Kong on 4th June 2019. We also registered students for the examinations held in Prague meaning 2019 has proven to be a record year for our enrolment at this world-ranked faculty.

We were joined in London by Consultant Maxillofacial Surgeon Professor Eitan Brizman. Professor Brizman is a British citizen who studied medicine at Charles University First Faculty before training as a Dentist. He now works as a surgeon in the UK whilst leading the Dentistry programme at the First Faculty of Medicine. He was joined by Jitka Wurmova from the student office. Ben Ambrose from Medical Doorway ensured the exam and subsequent interviews went according to schedule. The exam was held at the University of Westminster consisting of multiple-choice papers in Chemistry, Biology and Physics. All students received their results on the day. Those who were successful will enjoy Medical Doorway’s in-county support at the September 2019 enrolment.

New opportunities for 2020

Medical Doorway and Charles University First Faculty of Medicine have agreed to hold exams in major global hubs. In 2020 we will be holding two London examinations. Our Asian exam will once again be held in Hong Kong and is already scheduled for Tuesday 2nd June 2020. Due to student demand we are going to be hosting our inaugural Latin American entrance exam in Sao Paulo (Brazil) on Sunday 31st May 2020.
