Masaryk University and UVPS Enrolments 2017

The Medical Doorway team were once again in Brno supporting our Masaryk University and UVPS students. Brno is the Czech Republic’s second largest city and is serviced by direct flights from London. This, coupled with the high academic standards, ensured we had a record breaking set of exams in 2017. The world-class facilities makes Masaryk university one of the most popular European universities in which to study medicine or dentistry. For aspiring Veterinary students, the self contained campus at UVPS provides a unique environment for a comprehensive veterinary medicine education.

Medical Doorway students arrived during the week to commence their Medicine, Dentistry, Veterinary and Foundation programmes. Many checked into the university accommodation with others renting apartments in the beautiful city centre. During the enrolment, students were also assisted by MIMSA. This is one of the most established students organisations in the Czech Republic. Students collected their student books, schedules and signed their students contracts.

Once the enrolment was out of the way, the Medical Doorway team ensured students secured their DPMB travel cards. For less than twenty-five pounds students got a three month unlimited travel permit for the entire city. Appointments at KB bank ensured students were able to get they accounts opened as soon as possible and we helped our Non-EU students register with the local immigration authorities. Following the enrolment activities students met up in the central square for the Medical Doorway welcome meal. This was a chance for the students and to get to know each other before the hard work begins. The annual meal is our way of congratulating our medical and dental students and thanking them for their support.

As is the case all students received our full support completely FREE of charge and will be keeping in contact with the Medical Doorway team during their studies.
