Medical Doorway Outreach in Hong Kong 2023

The Medical Doorway team have been working with students and schools in Hong Kong for the past seven years. The Covid-19 pandemic mandated a break in our in-country activity, but we were delighted to be back on the ground supporting students. We kicked off the visit by exhibiting at the annual HKTDC Education and Careers Expo. Held at the Hong Kong convention centre, the four-day event brought us face to face with a record number of attendees. Ben Ambrose delivered two presentations over the event. One covered application to UK medical programmes and was followed by an analysis of European and Caribbean medical programmes.

Professor Eitan Brizman from Charles University First Faculty of Medicine presented to hundreds of students in Hong Kong.

Following the exhibition, we were joined by Professor Eitan Brizman from Charles University First Faculty of Medicine. Professor Brizman and the Medical Doorway team then embarked on a series of school visits. During the five days, we visited twelve of Hong Kong’s best schools. This included all seven schools that are part of the English Schools Foundation network. We were also invited to the prestigious IB curriculum German Swiss International school, Chinese International School and Victoria Shanghai Academy. We also had the opportunity to speak with students at Harrow School and Hong Kong International School.

To ensure that all students get the full service we pride ourselves on, we held a constructive meeting at the Czech Republic consulate in Wan Chai. This partnership is instrumental in ensuring students secure their student visas on time and for working with local authorities to enable a seamless return after graduation.

Entrance exams in Hong Kong 2023

Now that travel has returned to normal, we are delighted to be offering Charles University exams in Hong Kong once again. In 2023, both Charles University First Faculty and Second Faculty will be offering this opportunity. These exams are open to all students and are popular with candidates from across the Asia-Pacific region.
