Presentation at Lancaster Royal Grammar School

In 2021 we assisted students from LRGS

For the past eighteen months we have been conducting school presentations online but at last we are back in the classroom. On Monday 8th November we delivered our first in-person school presentation since February 2020. We were invited to speak with the MedSoc at Lancaster Royal Grammar School. The school has a history dating back to 1235 and is one of England’s thirty-six boarding schools. Day students are joined by British and international boarding students at Lancaster Royal Grammar School. The school is also regarded and one of the academically strongest state schools, in the UK. In 2019 over 75% of A-levels returned a grade and A*,A or B. With such an academic pedigree it is no surprise there are many aspiring medical students at LRGS. Indeed in 2021 we assisted students from the school secure seats at the University of Nicosia in Cyprus.

During the presentation Ben Ambrose (Managing Director) introduced students and staff to several universities. These included, UNIC, QMUL Malta, SGU, Charles University, Masaryk and Palacky. Students then had the chance to ask questions specific to their individual needs.

It was refreshing to be back in schools presenting to students about the various opportunities to Study Medicine in Europe. Medical Doorway will be continuing to travel to schools across the UK and overseas in the remainder of 2021 and during 2022.
