Study in Czechia

Czechia lies in central Europe and includes the historic regions of Bohemia, Moravia and Czech Silesia. Charles University’s medical tradition dates to the fourteenth century, while medical and veterinary teaching now spans Prague, Brno, Olomouc, Hradec Králové and Ostrava.

Prague’s medical faculties place students in the capital’s hospital and university communities; Charles University’s Second Faculty is based at Motol University Hospital. Brno combines a large student community with landmarks such as Špilberk Castle, while Olomouc’s historic centre includes its astronomical clock and a home for the Moravian Philharmonic.

Charles University offers medicine at its First, Second and Third Faculties in Prague, and at Hradec Králové. Dentistry is also available at the First Faculty and Hradec Králové.

Masaryk University in Brno offers medicine, dentistry and physiotherapy; Palacký University in Olomouc offers medicine and dentistry; and the University of Ostrava offers medicine. For veterinary medicine, the University of Veterinary Sciences Brno provides a specialist animal-health teaching environment.
