UVS Brno

UVPS Brno is the Czech Republic’s specialist university for veterinary medicine, offering an established and comparatively affordable route into the profession. Its dedicated campus brings teaching, animal care and student facilities together.

Founded in 1918, the University of Veterinary Sciences Brno has more than a century of specialist veterinary education behind it. That focused history has made it one of the recognised veterinary institutions in Central Europe.

Veterinary Medicine students gain experience through an on-site animal hospital, a tropical-bird treatment centre and a dedicated equestrian facility with an indoor riding arena. International placements can extend that training to big-cat, wildlife and zoo medicine. Eligible graduates can register with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS), subject to the requirements in force when they qualify.

The self-contained campus is a short tram ride from central Brno and includes ample, high-quality student accommodation at comparatively low cost. Brno is a major Czech student city with an active cultural and social life.
