Riga Stradins University

Rīga Stradiņš University is an international choice for Medicine and Dentistry in Latvia. It combines a large student community with modern teaching facilities and clinical preparation in the country’s capital.

RSU has developed one of Europe’s larger international intakes for medical and dental education, with around 500 students beginning across its September and January intakes. The two start dates give applicants more than one opportunity each academic year to begin their studies.

Medicine and Dentistry students learn in modern facilities, including a dedicated clinical simulation centre, before gaining experience in Riga’s hospitals. Eligible graduates can apply to the General Medical Council (GMC) or General Dental Council (GDC), as appropriate, subject to the registration requirements in force when they qualify.

Riga combines a historic European capital with a well-connected international airport. Students have access to city life, clinical facilities and transport links within a compact and accessible setting.
