Ben Ambrose delivered the Study Medicine in Europe presentations
On Saturday 29th February 2020 Ben Ambrose presented to hundreds of aspiring doctors at the 2020 Medical Futures Conference. The event is held annually at the respected Concord College in Shropshire. This event caters to students (in years twelve and thirteen) from across the Midlands. The event was hosted in their distinctive science centre. Students rotated around the venue attending multiple presentations covering various aspects of applying to study medicine. This included presentations about UCAT and BMAT and writing an effective personal statement.
The presentations by Medical Doorway introduced students to the opportunities outside of the UK. British students were joined by international students and found out first-hand about the service of Medical Doorway. Numerous university options were presented and a number of final year students started their applications on the day.
As an official representative of partner universities, Medical Doorway attends events to help students compare courses and understand the application process.
Our outreach will be continuing across the year and we are visiting some new schools that are keen to engage with Medical Doorway.
