Hot on the heels of our outreach in Indonesia the Medical Doorway team headed to Singapore. This was the final leg of our February travels which included the enrolment at Medical University Pleven.
The visit started off with a meeting at Tanglin Trust School which is one of Singapore’s largest international schools. Here we met with the college counselling team and introduced the school to the numerous medical school opportunities in Europe. This was followed by a presentation at the Global Indian International School. Here we met students and parents at a school that already has graduates studying at some of our partner universities. We then had the opportunity to present at the Canadian International School.
This short three-days visit was a success and we met an increasing number of students who are researching medical schools in Europe. Students in the city now have correct and reliable information on the opportunities open to them including the Medical Doorway entrance exams taking place in Hong Kong.
Medical Doorway visits schools to help students make informed choices about studying medicine abroad, including checking course requirements, university authorisation and fees.
This trip brought an end to our February 2020 outreach in Asia where we connected with students in international schools opening new doors for them to pursue their careers in medicine or dentistry.
