Kosice is home to Pavol Jozef Safarik University and easily accessible from the UK and Ireland.
Established in 1948, the medical faculty started to educate international students from 1992. As a result, it is one of the most established medical faculties in Europe. Every year, UPJS enrols students onto their six-year programmes in General Medicine and Dentistry. The fees for the medicine programme are currently only €10,500 and dentistry €11,000 per year. This makes both programmes some of the most competitively priced in the European Union. The faculty itself is based in the centre of Slovakia’s second largest city Kosice. Furthermore, the city’s airport is serviced by direct flights from London, Liverpool and Dublin. This makes Pavol Jozef Safarik University an ideal option for students in the UK & Ireland.
Admission to the programme is determined by the university entrance examination. This exam involves answering multiple choice questions in both Biology and Chemistry. Convenience delivered by Medical Doorway
As with all our partner universities we are offering the convenience of sitting the entrance exams in Central London. Two exams have been timetabled with Saturday 8th July being ideal for those who have just finished their A-levels, gap year students and graduates. In addition, we are also running an examination on Friday 25th August for those who apply during clearing.
This is not where Medical Doorway’s support ends however. By working with the Slovak embassy and local immigration authorities, we will speed you through the residency permit process as part of our on-the ground support in Kosice.
