Medical Doorway were specially invited to present at The Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh on Monday 10th April. The “Aspire” event brought over two hundred students and parents to learn about all aspects of applying to medical school. Ben Ambrose spoke at length about studying medicine in Europe to the eager audience. The event was held with our partners The Medic Portal.
Delegates learned about the Medical Doorway process of matching universities to the individual requirements of students. Medical Doorway’s unique relationship with the truly highest ranked central European universities means we are the preferred organisation for medicine stakeholders.
Attendees learnt about Medical Doorway’s partner universities and the opportunities and challenges of studying medicine abroad. The discussion also covered how to check an adviser’s authorisation and understand application fees.
Ben Ambrose gave a “Study Medicine in Europe” presentation to two hundred delegates at The Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh.
The presentation also discussed the start of the Brexit process and the proposed UK Medical Licensing Assessment. Students were encouraged to research course accreditation, clinical training and graduate outcomes, and to check developments directly with the relevant regulator.
Medical Doorway have a packed itinerary of school visits and outreach presentations. Later in April, Medical Doorway will be at presenting at teacher conferences in Nottingham and Cambridge. In June Medical Doorway will once again be presenting at the Royal Society of Medicine career adviser conference.
