Medical Doorway supports applications to a six-year medical pathway combining study in Albany, New York, the Bahamas and clinical training in the USA. It is designed for applicants entering after school.
We’re excited to introduce a direct-entry six-year medical programme. This allows you to begin your journey straight after school—no Pre-Med degree required.
The programme is organised as follows:
- Years 1–2: study at ACPHS in Albany, New York, completing six terms and earning a BSc in Biomedical Science.
- Year 3: continue in Albany before transferring to WAUSM in the Bahamas in January.
- Year 4: study at WAUSM in the Bahamas.
- Years 5–6: complete clinical training in partner hospitals in the USA.
Study Medicine in the USA and Prep for the USMLE
Throughout the programme, you’ll prepare for the USMLE exams—giving you the opportunity to enter the US Residency Match and begin your career as a doctor in the United States.
The pathway leads to an MD degree and a bachelor’s degree, subject to successful completion of the programme.
Tuition fees are estimated at US$58,000 a year, with advertised scholarship awards of US$50,000–US$125,000. Ask for confirmation of the award period, eligibility and total costs before making a financial commitment.
