Pleven Medical University 2018 Enrolment

Medical Doorway were once again supporting a large cohort of medical students enrolling at Pleven Medical University. Students from the UK, Ireland, Germany, Sweden and Canada joined over four

hundred and fifty existing Medical Doorway students at this popular medical school.

After collecting students and their guests from Sofia airport, everyone settled into their pre-arranged accommodation. On Monday 5th February, Medical Doorway hosted our annual welcome reception. Guests of honour included representatives

from the university senior management. Managing Director, Ben Ambrose, gave a welcome speech, recognising the hard work of all students and members of the staff involved in the enrolment process.

Students got the chance to sample traditional Bulgaria cuisine and learn more about the local culture and customs. A traditional Bulgarian dance troupe performed an example of northern Bulgarian dancing. To finish the evening off everyone got the chance to learn the steps themselves.

The Medical Doorway team have been assisting students at Pleven Medical University since 2011 and have an exclusive agreement. The english language

Places at the university are limited as unlike other universities in the region, Pleven limits the number of seats to maintain high academic standards. Admission for UK and EU students is by way of entrance examination and Medical Doorway will be running a number of entrance exams in 2018.

The Medical Doorway team will be visiting Pleven in March to celebrate the graduation of our students who enrolled in February 2012. This is sure to be an emotional occasion for everyone involved.
