Ben Ambrose met with the Higher Education and Careers team at the International School of Brunei.
Medical Doorway continued our global outreach programme by counselling students in the affluent sultanate of Brunei Darussalam. Ben Ambrose travelled to Borneo following our attendance at the 2019 ESF university fair in Hong Kong. Brunei is one of the world’s most prosperous countries with a high standard of living and excellent healthcare.
Over the two day visit students, parents and higher education counsellors were introduced to Medical Doorway and the universities that are part of the Medical Doorway consortium. Wednesday 20th February started with a visit to the International School of Brunei. Ben met with the careers team and discussed the opportunities available including the Czech Republic entrance exams which are taking place in Hong Kong from 30th May – 4th June. An open-house event was held at the Country Patch Café in the Kiulap area of the capital, Bandar Seri Begawan. During this event, students and parents enjoyed an informative presentation and had the chance to ask questions about various aspects of studying medicine, dentistry or veterinary medicine.
An open doors session was held in Bandar Seri Begawan, the capital city of the Sultanate of Brunei.
On Thursday 21st February Ben was invited to Jerudong International School. This invitation followed our successful presentation at the 2018 CIS Global Form in Vienna. JIS is one of the world’s leading international schools and has educated many members of the Bruneian royal family. Ben discussed studying in the Czech Republic with the aspiring doctors and dentists. Meetings were held with the higher education and career team and school principal Barnaby Sandow.

Sit your entrance exams in Hong Kong
Students from the Asia-Pacific region can apply for entrance exams in Hong Kong. The five exams take place over six days, and applicants have registered from Hong Kong, Japan, Malaysia, India, New Zealand and China. Medical Doorway provides application support without agency fees.
