This September the Medical Doorway team arrived at the world famous Charles University 1st Faculty of Medicine. There, we assisted our newly accepted Charles students get enrolled and settled in the Czech capital Prague.
Following some of the most popular examinations conducted to date, the university had a larger enrolment than ever before. This included the first student from Hong Kong to study at the faculty.
The majority of students arrived on Friday 16th September for what was a long but informative day. Students were welcomed to the faculty by Professor David Sedmera. Professor Sedmera spoke to students briefly about the history of the faculty and Charles University. He also gave advice on how to ensure a successful experience when studying Medicine or Dentistry.
Representatives from LF1 MedSoc were on hand to assist the enrolment and introduce the two week long freshers’ festival. Students were able to sign up to various events designed to introduce them to Prague. Head of the students’ office Kristýna Bulínová guided students through the enrolment process. Students received their credit books and study schedules.
The Medical Doorway students and their travelling guests also enjoyed our traditional welcome meal. This took place at Golden Tikka next door to the 1st Faulty Dean’s building. As with all of our support services this was 100% FREE of charge.
Charles University 1st Faculty of Medicine and Medical Doorway have already agreed the exam dates for 2017. Entrance Exams are taking place in London on Saturday 29th April and Saturday 22nd July. We are already receiving applications for these exams.
