Rijeka is a small university city with a population of just over one hundred and twenty thousand people. Rijeka is conveniently located in North West Croatia and serviced by its own airport. It is also home to the largest sea port in Croatia and within easy reach of the port city of Pula. From Pula you can catch a ferry to the Italian city of Venice.
The Faculty of Medicine at the University of Rijeka is proud of its innovative approach to education. This innovation is also evident in the application and selection of students. Whilst many students will be able to sit the entrance exam, graduates can gain direct admission without entrance examination.
The medicine programme is one of the most affordable options for aspiring medical students. The fees are €10000 per year. This along with the low living costs make the University if Rijeka an affordable option for students who aspire to study medicine in Europe but are not willing to compromise on quality. Graduates from Rijeka are eligible to apply for full registration with the GMC in the UK.
