Named after the first president of Czechoslovakia, T.G. Masaryk, and founded in 1919, Masaryk University is the second largest university in the Czech Republic and located in the second biggest city, Brno. The new faculty of Medicine is found on a purpose built campus a short distance from the city centre. The faculty is linked by a bridge to a huge shopping mall and has ample on site accommodation for students providing all you need for daily life on one impressive university campus. The city centre is only a short tram and bus ride away and with a three month student travel permit costing less than €30 you will soon see why this is a very popular choice for students.
Whether you are studying on the six year Medicine or five year Dentistry programme, you can be proud that you are studying at a modern and innovative university. If you are an UK/EU citizen your degree enables you to apply for registration with the GMC or GDC. Masaryk University also offers a unique Foundation Programme
