Charles University 2nd Faculty of Medicine was established in 1953 and remains on the site of the Motol hospital. Initially the faculty was established to specialise in paediatric medicine. In 1990 the faculty changed its name to the 2nd faculty of Medicine and has grown and advanced along with the on-site world class hospital. With a smaller enrolment the faculty offers exceptional education, a clinical setting and a challenging but rewarding curriculum.

    The comprehensive approach to education means that entire spectrum of medicine and health education is delivered in the faculty.
