Charles University Hradec Kralove Entrance Exam

The spring examination for Charles University Faculty of Medicine in Hradec Kralove was held on Saturday 8th April in London. Twenty students registered to sit the exam. Another five were eligible for entrance exam exemptions due to holding exceptionally high A-level grades.

Students and parents arrived early at Birkbeck University of London. The two and a half hour exam consisted of multiple choice questions in Chemistry, Biology and a choice of Mathematics or Physics. The low number of representatives meeting the standards of the faculty meant many students travelled from overseas for the exam. In addition to the UK students, we welcomed applicants from Nigeria, Singapore, Germany, Malaysia and India. The results are due to be published within the next two weeks.

Representing Charles University in Hradec Kralove was Pavla Sedlářová from the Study Department. She was supported by Medical Doorway’s managing director Ben Ambrose. The faculty offers the opportunity to secure a Charles University degree without the expense of living in the capital. Students with an A-level profile of AAB (Chemistry, Biology and Maths/Physics) can secure direct admission with no entrance examination.

Charles University Faculty of Medicine in Hradec Kralove and Medical Doorway run two entrance exams in London per year. The next examination is scheduled on Sunday 27th August. This gives students a chance to enrol at Charles University after they have received their A-level results. Hradec Kralove is the only Charles University faculty to offer this amazing opportunity.
