Medical Doorway at “Focus on Medicine” conference

Medical Doorway were special guests at the Cambridge Occupational Analysts (COA) “Focus on Medicine” conference on 27th September. The conference was held at Downing College, University of Cambridge. Over one hundred career counsellors attended what is one of the UK’s most well know career counsellor training days.

Ben Ambrose (Managing Director) delivered Medical Doorway’s “Study Medicine in Europe” presentation. Ben discussed the NHS employment situation, implications of the BREXIT negotiations and the risks posed by unethical fee charging agencies. A lot of time was spent discussing the range of universities and Medical Doorway’s free service.

COA is one of the UK’s largest advice and guidance organisations. Over the past twenty five years they have worked with over three thousand schools. The “Focus on Medicine” conference was a response to demand from their network of career counsellors. With studying medicine in Europe more popular than ever it was a honour to be invited to present at such a prestigious venue.

Following the presentation Ben Ambrose held extensive discussions on how to support students who want to study medicine in Europe.
