The university offers students academic and clinical facilities that are amongst some of the best in Europe. Students can apply and study on the university’s six year MD programme with direct admission from high school. Students with A-levels are required to have an ABB profile with at least two of their subjects being sciences..
Graduates have the option of studying a four-year Gradate Entry Medicine programme. The four year graduate entry MBBS comes from an official collaboration between the University of Nicosia and St George’s University of London. Students on this programme will be graduating with a UK awarded, GMC accredited degree. This presents a unique offer for aspiring doctors and is especially attractive considering the upcoming changes to UK medical registration.

The university offers scholarships of up to 20% for the Medicine programme and 30% for the Graduate Entry Medicine programme. Students also have the opportunity to complete some of their clinical placements in the UK. This provides an easier transition to employment in the NHS after graduation.

Hello, You have stated in the above passage that students have the port unity to complete me of their clinical placement in the U.K. Can you please clarify this as I was led to believe UK students on the MBBS 4 yr Grad course would be place in Limerssol for clinical placements.
Also, what is the final date for applying? And do you have any further information regarding living costs in Nicosia/Limerssol?
Many tanks fo your help.
Jo
Hi Jo
The clinical placements in the UK are available for those on the 6yr MD awarded by Nicosia. Those on the graduate entry MBBS complete all their placements in Cyprus.
Considering the number of applicants we have had this year it is advisable to apply without delay (especially for the graduate entry programme).
Annual living costs are around €10,000 per year.

Is the 6 year MD programme also recognised by GMC i.e. not require to take PLAB?
Yes this programme is recognised in the UK and is exempt from licensing exams in the UK under current regulations.
