The University of Nicosia has become the thirteenth university to work with Medical Doorway. The university offers students academic and clinical facilities that are amongst some of the best in Europe. Students can apply and study on the university’s six year MD programme with direct admission from high school. Students with A-levels are required to have an ABB profile with at least two of their subjects being sciences..
Graduates have the option of studying a four-year Gradate Entry Medicine programme. The four year graduate entry MBBS comes from an official collaboration between the University of Nicosia and St George’s University of London. Students on this programme will be graduating with a UK awarded, GMC accredited degree. This presents a unique offer for aspiring doctors and is especially attractive considering the upcoming changes to UK medical registration.
As well as offering innovative education with world-class facilities, students get the chance to live in one of Europe’s most beautiful countries. Cyprus boats a range of amazing opportunities for students looking to make the most of their study abroad experience. With jaw-dropping scenery, vibrant towns and some of the best beaches in the Mediterranean, students are sure to enjoy every aspect of their experience in Cyprus. The university offers some of the best accommodation options available on the market. Students can enjoy brand new accommodation buildings boasting restaurants and even a roof top swimming pool.
During the visit Ben held meetings with the admissions team to clarify the procedures and processes for applicants. Official meetings were also held with Professor Adonis Ioannides (Associate Dean for Academic Affairs) and Professor Constantina Constantinou (MD Programme Director).
The university offers scholarships of up to 20% for the Medicine programme and 30% for the Graduate Entry Medicine programme. Students also have the opportunity to complete some of their clinical placements in the UK. This provides an easier transition to employment in the NHS after graduation.
Applications for the 2018 enrolment on both the Medicine and Graduate Entry Medicine programmes are still being accepted. As always our service is 100% FREE of charge. Apply now with Medical Doorway and take the first step onto your future medical career at the University of Nicosia in Cyprus.
