Career counsellor presentation at Eton College

Medical Doorway were invited to Eton College to talk to over thirty school careers counsellors about the opportunities to study medicine, dentistry or veterinary medicine in Europe. Organised by The Medic Portal, the day was designed to provide counsellors with a holistic perspective on helping their students apply and successfully gain access to medical school.

This event was held in the Natural History Museum of world famous Eton College where many of the world’s leaders in professional and political fields are educated. Presentations from The Medic Portal included advice on preparation for the UKCAT and also what students can expect when undergoing the rigours of the application and section process at UK universities. With applications far outstripping supply, more students than ever before are looking to the best universities in Europe should they not be successful in the UK. Ben Ambrose (Managing Director of Medical Doorway) discussed the realities of applying to and studying at European medical schools.
