Charles University First Faculty of Medicine: Enrolment 2019

Fifth Year student Alessia (LF1 MedSoc VP of Academic Affairs), was one of many Medical Doorway students helping the enrolment run smoothly.

After a busy year of entrance exams, Medical Doorway were back at Charles University First Faculty of Medicine. The 2019 enrolment at the world’s eleventh oldest medical school was our largest to date. This was the result of our London entrance exams in May and June and our second ever exam in Hong Kong.

These exams have not only resulted in a large enrolment, but one that truly represents the diverse range of students that walk through the Medical Doorway. We have assisted students from the UK, Ireland, Iran, Nigeria, Hong Kong, India and the United States of America.

The enrolment took place on Friday 20th September. Students were arranged into groups and submitted their legalised paperwork. Vice-Dean of International Affairs, Professor David Sedmera welcomed the students to the Czech capital. The students’ society, LF1 MedSoc, led the enrolment which included completing of student books and receiving their schedules. It was amazing to see numerous Medical Doorway students in the senior years volunteering their time to help the new First Faculty of Medicine students.

Also present was our examiner for the London exams, Mr Eitan Brizman. Mr Brizman was previously a student at the First Faculty of Medicine and is now a consultant Maxillofacial surgeon in the United Kingdom. He also teaches at the First Faculty of Medicine in Prague. Mr Brizman will be attending the Medical Doorway Open Day on Sunday 3rd November at the Royal Society of Medicine.

Professor David Sedmera welcomed the new students to the Czech capital, Prague.

Charles University First Faculty of Medicine and Medical Doorway have announced their 2020 exams which are exams taking place on three continents.

Saturday 2nd May 2020 – London
Sunday 31st May 2020 – Sao Paulo
Tuesday 2nd June 2020 – Hong Kong
Sunday 28th June 2020 – London
