Medical Doorway continued the July 2018 entrance exam season with Masaryk University. Over sixty aspiring doctors, dentists and physiotherapists sat the exam. The first exam took place at Birkbeck University of London on Saturday 21st July. Students sat a three hour multiple-choice exam comprising Chemistry, Biology and the choice of Maths or Physics. Romana Buaiscia travelled to London from the international office. Following the London exam the first ever Masaryk University exam in Manchester took place. Held at Manchester Conference Centre it was overseen by Markéta Neckařová.
Masaryk University is known as one of Europe’s most innovative universities. It also enjoys on of the most enviable graduate employment track-records of any Central European medical faculty. Long established links to NHS hospitals near Liverpool and London have provided graduates with a pathway to employment. This year, the university have entered an agreement with a hospital in the Isle of Man. This will provide a boost to the island’s already expectational health care provision. The university is also enjoy record levels of investment. A state-or-the-art clinical simulation centre will soon be part of the faculty and will be one of the largest such facilities in the world.

Masaryk University are confirmed to attend MD-Expo London on Sunday 4th November. This is Medical Doorway’s annual Open Day and is FREE to attend. Unlike the open days organised by unregulated fee-charging agencies, which are little more than a marketing gimmick, MD-Expo provides the opportunity to meet universities face to face and apply directly for September 2019 admission.
Held at the Royal Society of Medicine, MD-Expo is building a reputation as the UK’s premier event for students interest in studying medicine in Europe.
