UK Medical Programmes in Clearing

The Medical Doorway team have been working tirelessly all year to open as many seats as possible for those who want to study medicine in the UK. We have already started our pre-clearing work but are delighted to update all aspiring medical students on UK opportunities. This year we are bringing three UK medical options. Two of these are open to international students and one to all applicants. Given the level of competition for these limited places, early applications are advised. All are GMC regulated degrees!

Queen Mary University of London (MBBS Malta) – All applicants

We have seen three of our classes graduate from QMUL’s Malta campus. We also see an increasing number of enquires and applications every year. This programme offers the same qualification as at the main campus in London and is open to all applicants. Tuition fees are €35,000 per year, which for international students seeking a UK MBBS, is a significant saving. Entry requirements are AAA for A-level or 37 points on the IB. A UCAT is also required. Shortlisted applicants will undergo an online interview.

Brunel University of London – International applicants

Open for international applicants only, the programme offered by Brunel University of London is the ideal gateway to a UK medical degree. The tuition fees of £49,395 a year and scholarships offering a discount of up to £6000 a year present a competitive offer for committed applicants. It is rare to find a London based medical programme in clearing for international students. We strongly advise all interested students to apply now. Please however note that this is only for international applicants and only apply if you have the financial ability to pay the tuition fees and cover the associated living costs.

Swansea University – International applicants

For many international students direct access into a medicine degree is not the right choice. It is important to remember that it is the destination and not the journey that matters. This is where the “Pathway to Medicine” opportunity at Swansea University excels. Students will first study a three year BSc.(Hons) in a range of subjects and then articulate onto a four year medicine degree offered at the university. Students graduate with two degrees, providing a much wider perspective on medicine and the healthcare industry. This is ideal for those who didn’t quite make the grade or need more time to study medical related content before taking the jump to medicine career.
